What happens when I post goods issue to production?
Stock Impact:
- Raw material stock decreases in the issuing storage location
- WIP (Work-in-Process) increases if configured
- Reserved stock is consumed if materials were reserved
Financial Impact:
- Material costs are charged to the production order
- Inventory value decreases by the issued amount
- Cost of goods manufactured increases
How to reverse a goods issue to production:
If you need to cancel the goods issue:
- Use movement type 262 (Goods Issue Reversal)
- Enter the same quantities that were originally issued
- Reference the same production order
- Use the same batch numbers if applicable
- Post the reversal - this increases stock back
Important notes:
- Goods issue can only be reversed before order confirmation
- Always verify batch numbers match for reversal
- Check cost impact on production order after posting
